About the role
The Stratford Country Club, a long-standing year round community sports & event facility, is looking for dynamic individuals to join our team. Our operations includes many different streams:
Golf | Curling | Indoor Golf | Restaurant | Takeout | Weddings & Special Events | Catering
We are looking for energetic, friendly individuals to be a part of our busy hospitality department. Individuals that have a professional demeanor, positive attitude and willing to learn new things
Job Summary: Cook position is responsible for the following but not limited to;
o Lead our restaurant team by cooking in our restaurant.
o Ensure that kitchen standards and specs are followed.
o Assist in the training of new staff in all aspects of the kitchen. (food, cooking, safety, etc.)
o Assist with future menu & special planning.
o Prep food for restaurant.
o Opening and closing duties
o Ensures SCC Health & Safety policies, WHIMIS training and standards are followed.
o Ensure the cleanliness of kitchens including washing dishes as required
o Assist with events as required.

The Stratford Country Club is a work environment which is team orientated. The success of our organization is reflected above all individuals working together. We are not limited to the above tasks and will assist in all areas of the organization when needed.
Position Specifications:
Experience: Qualifications; minimum 5-year kitchen experience. Food Handlers Certificate preferred but not required, Smart Serve preferred but not required.
Work Environment: Works in restaurant/kitchen area, can be very hot during the summer months, very steamy, greasy atmosphere, as well as outdoor environments.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week

About Stratford Country Club
The Stratford Country Club is a shareholder-owned club that traces its beginnings back to 1896 when William Maynard began golfing in the open fields north of the Avon River. The present club was chartered in November 1913 with 50 original shareholders.
The Club offers golf, curling and squash as well as multiple event spaces and menus for a wide variety of functions, whether formal or casual.
