About the role

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Haliburton Highlands Health Services is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Community Learning & Development Liaison to support the Community Support Services/Programs team. This key role is responsible for the development, implementation, delivery, and monitoring of training programs for both staff and volunteers within CSS. The Liaison ensures that education initiatives align with organizational goals, regulatory standards, and best practices to foster a culture of excellence, inclusivity and continuous learning.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and deliver orientation, onboarding, and continuing education programs for non-clinical staff and volunteers across HHHS.
  • Collaborate with leadership and team members to identify learning needs and design responsive educational strategies.
  • Provide regular training and support in the use of AlayaCare, and other digital health platforms used for service documentation and data tracking.
  • Extract, analyze, and report data from AlayaCare to monitor program performance and support informed decision-making.
  • Track and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and support the team in meeting or exceeding performance benchmarks.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of educational materials, policies, and procedures related to programming.
  • Stay current on trends, standards, and regulations affecting community-based care and volunteer engagement.
  • Serve as a resource for staff and volunteers, offering ongoing support and mentoring to ensure best practices are upheld.
  • Coordinate and participate in quality improvement initiatives related to training, documentation, and client service outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-secondary education in adult education, Nursing, Social Services, Health Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in a training, education, or quality improvement role, preferably in a community health or social services setting.
  • Proficiency with digital systems; experience with AlayaCare is strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and report data effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of the principles of volunteer management is an asset.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
