We are looking for a strong, personable and positive team orientated individual to fill the full-time position of a Dispatcher based out of Grande Prairie, AB and surrounding areas.

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for a strong, team orientated individual to fill the position of a Dispatcher. This position will be on a 9 days on 5 days off schedule, with shifts from 6 AM to 5 PM. Experience in dispatching is considered an asset, but is not required as we are willing to provide training for the right individual.

Preference will be given to candidates LOCAL to Grande Prairie and surrounding areas.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Dispatch personnel and equipment in response to service requests; organize and coordinate the activities of field units.

• Conduct various administrative duties, including but not limited to, customer service, invoicing, and hiring/orientations.

• Manage relationships with key operations vendors.

• Work closely with office administrators, supervisors, employees, and contractors to ensure the client’s expectations are met.

• Communicate politely and adequately with customers and employees on a daily basis.

• Facilitate and maintain on-time performance.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous experience in dispatching is an asset.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Familiarity of city and oilfield hauling roads in the Grande Prairie area is a necessity.

• Strong organizational skills, patience, and sharp memory skills.

• Ability to self-manage, prioritize tasks, meet multiple deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word and Excel and ability to learn new software.

• Strong administrative skills.

• Ambitious, high-energy, easy-going personality and a team player.

• Optimal verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to apply professional phone etiquette.
