We are seeking an experienced Anaplan Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale Anaplan solutions across complex planning and performance management environments. This role will be responsible for translating business requirements into high-performing, scalable models, applying industry best practices and mentoring implementation teams through all phases of project delivery. As a subject matter expert (SME) in connected planning, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders across finance, supply chain, sales, and operations to ensure planning solutions are aligned with strategic goals and technical standards
Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with clients to understand business planning and performance management processes and translate them into scalable Anaplan solutions.
• Design and architect enterprise-scale Anaplan models, including modules, lists, line items, and calculations, aligned with multi-dimensional modeling principles.
• Develop detailed solution blueprints and translate them into structured development plans, timelines, staffing needs, and project schedules.
• Apply Anaplan best practices (e.g., PLANUAL 2.0, DISCO) to ensure models are optimized for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Conduct performance tuning, formula optimization, and issue resolution across interconnected models; provide insights into performance improvements and troubleshooting.
• Serve as the Architectural SME on large-scale connected planning initiatives, ensuring design integrity and solution alignment.
• Lead or contribute to data integration and migration efforts to support end-to-end planning processes.
• Participate in or lead user acceptance testing (UAT), deployment, and post-go-live support.
• Guide and mentor team members throughout the implementation lifecycle, promoting knowledge transfer and quality delivery.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date model documentation and solution artifacts for client and internal use.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to project managers and stakeholders on progress, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Manage multiple concurrent client threads across pre-sales and implementation streams, effectively prioritizing tasks and self-managing time across competing demands.
Required Qualifications
• 2–3+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing Anaplan solutions, with at least two full-cycle implementations in an architect or lead modeler role.
• Proven ability to translate complex business planning requirements into scalable, efficient Anaplan models.
• Strong domain expertise in enterprise planning processes across functions such as finance, supply chain, sales, or operations.
• Mandatory Anaplan certifications: Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, and Solution Architect.
• Deep understanding of Anaplan model optimization, including performance tuning, formula refactoring, and troubleshooting across connected models.
• Demonstrated experience applying best practices (e.g., PLANUAL 2.0, DISCO) in real-world implementations.
• Hands-on experience with Anaplan New UX, Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), and familiarity with data integration/migration processes.
• Proven track record managing multiple client workstreams, balancing implementation and pre-sales priorities.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor team members and engage effectively with stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with cloud integration platforms such as AWS CloudWorks, Informatica, MuleSoft, or similar tools for data integration and automation.
• Familiarity with cloud data warehouse (Snowflake) and workflow orchestration (Apache Airflow) for managing planning-related data pipelines.
• Exposure to Connected Planning initiatives across multiple business domains or industries (e.g., manufacturing, retail, tech, financial services).
• Experience working within Agile or hybrid project management methodologies.
• Background in scripting, SQL, or ETL development to support data integration strategies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Strong business acumen and ability to engage with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders to drive alignment and adoption.
