Job Title: Customer Service Representative – School Transportation
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
Schedule: Monday to Friday

Job Summary:

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and professional Customer Service Representative to join our school transportation team. In this role, you will serve as the main point of contact for parents, schools, and drivers. You’ll be responsible for answering inquiries, redirecting calls, handling concerns, and helping ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of our student transportation services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to Inquiries: Answer incoming calls and emails from parents, school staff, and drivers in a courteous and helpful manner.
  • Redirect Calls: Route inquiries to the appropriate departments such as dispatch, HR, or management.
  • Support Communication: Provide real-time updates about delays, bus changes, or incidents to families and school contacts.
  • Assist Drivers and Staff: Help drivers with basic administrative questions or relay important information between departments.
  • Log and Track Issues: Record all relevant information from calls, complaints, and incidents into internal systems.
  • Maintain a Calm and Helpful Demeanor: Offer support and solutions during stressful situations with empathy and professionalism.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with clerical tasks such as data entry, contact updates, and follow-up reminders.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous customer service or call center experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle high call volumes and prioritize tasks efficiently
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer skills
  • Calm, patient, and professional in high-pressure situations
  • Familiarity with transportation or school operations is an asset
  • Bilingual (English/French or other language) is a plus, but not required
