Role:
The VP Field Operations, LACE (Latin America, Caribbean and Export) is a senior-level Executive position at Sysco. The objective of this role is to realize Sysco’s Recipe for High Quality Experience customer value proposition via the execution of strategic projects and continuous improvement across fulfillment operations. In pursuit of realizing Sysco’s Recipe for High Quality Experience, the purpose of this role will manifest as increased customer satisfaction, lower cost to serve, and market share accumulation.
Role Responsibilities:
- Support the strategic and executional components of Supply Chain Transformation
- Lead the creation and sustained discipline of an Operational Excellence System (OES)
- Lead and oversee multiple projects to enhance current state in preparation for Supply Chain Transformation
- Create and sustain followership for change initiatives and best practices: amongst VPOs, Corporate leaders and peers
- Navigate and influence all level of Sysco’s organization: VPOs, LACE (Latin America, Caribbean and Export) leaders/peers, front-line associates
- Act as a servant Leader who can coach and develop others
- Process-systems thinker; thoughtful, analytical
- Translates thought into actions, into positive business results
- Able to hold others accountable while building competency and capability
- Complies with Sysco’s Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.
- Understands both the economic and cultural value that a safe organization with minimal environmental impact brings to an organization.
- Is willing to drive Environmental, Health and Safety performance by providing necessary resources and holding their team accountable to complying with EHS programs, policies, and requirements.
- Positively influence and shape a large and inclusive organizational culture to be one that’s productive, vibrant, and a desirable place to work.
- Ability to effectively lead change and transformational initiatives through sound change management practices that will ensure sustained adoption, including stakeholder engagement across multiple functions
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements (About you):
- 7-10 Years experience in Operational Management running multi-site operations in highly transactional business models.
- Fluent in Spanish is an asset.
- Preferred cross-functional experience in Finance, Six Sigma/Process-Continuous Improvement, and or Human Resources.
- University earned Bachelors’ degree required; preferred disciplines include Business Management, Industrial Engineering, Finance
- MBA, Chartered Accountant (CA) is ideal
- Skilled process management: Six Sigma Green Belt and/or Black Belt certification acquired through multi-year project work under the guidance of qualified Master Black Belt.
- Skilled business case articulation from conception, final pro forma, and recommendation to Sysco’s ELT in Canada and Houston.
- Expert-level financial acumen, change management, as well as individual and team development capabilities.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Valid driver’s license in good standing with access to a vehicle is required
