About the role
As a Junior Project Manager, you will build a strong focus and foundation in project management and client management, and gain exposure to the Canadian wealth management industry. Under the direction of a Senior PM, you will participate in RPM’s software deliveries and support our client management activities.
Key Accountabilities
Participate in RPM software delivery and implementation planning
Assist in defining the project scope and deliverables
Support the senior RPM PM in developing and maintaining project plans, project tasks and resource requirements
Assist in managing project budget, timelines, and resource allocations
Assist in preparation of project status reports and other project documentation as required
Track project deliverables using appropriate tools
Gain knowledge of the financial services industry regulatory and business environments
Functional Competencies
1-2 years in an project management role (professional)
Experience leading a project is a must
Post-secondary Education, preferably with a focus on subjects such as Computer Science, Project Management, Software Development or Business
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A proactive, “service-first” attitude combined with superior interpersonal and presentation skills
Ability to work independently on projects, with tight deadlines, under minimal supervision
Understanding and experience in the financial services industry, preferably in banking, mutual funds and/or securities would be an asset
