About the Position
The working hours for this position are from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM daily, Monday through Friday.
Reporting to the Manager, Registration, Records and Advising, this position is often the first point of contact for both students and community members. The Registration and Records Specialist responds to diverse requests for service, including in-person, email, and phone interaction. This position must be able to ask probing questions to determine clients’ needs and formulate responses by using electronic and published resources to respond to a myriad of queries.
Knowledge of Lethbridge Polytechnic programs, admission requirements, courses and policies are essential in responding to clients in an environment where service is top priority. The incumbent must use well developed listening, probing and analytical skills combined with the knowledge necessary to determine the appropriate responses.
Position Details
Working within the Registrar’s Office, and in collaboration with other members of the Registration and Records team, the successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following activities:

Assisting students with questions regarding registration, troubleshooting registration conflicts and errors, assisting with course change requests, completing assigned block registration

Using pre-defined SIS electronic solutions, and specialized processes to enter appropriate data into multiple databases

Processing applications for admission
-
Transcript requests and production
-
Non-credit grading
-
Final grade verification
-
Graduation review and parchment creation
-
Cash reconciliation
-
Processing course registration requests, as well supporting student block registration Responding to inquiries from students, community members, and departments within the institution
Required Qualifications

Minimum two-year college program in Business, Office Administration or applicable discipline
-
Effective communication, interpersonal and technical skills
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
-
18 months experience
Salary
AUPE Class Level 9 Step 1 $27.42 per hour
