About the role
We are House of XM - an experiential marketing agency creating impactful experiences for cool a** brands. We are women-owned, experience-obsessed, and all about delivering epic moments to our clients. We are a hands-on, bilingual agency that operates across North America and can get campaigns up and running in weeks, not months.
We’re currently looking for confident and engaging Sales Experts to be the face of an exciting boots-on-the-ground program in the smoke-free product industry. If you’re passionate about connecting with people, comfortable representing premium products, and ready to help drive in-store conversations—let’s make some cool s**t happen!
Role Overview:
As a Sales Expert, you’ll be on the ground, visiting two retail locations per day, four days a week, representing premium smoke-free products in-store. Your role will focus on driving sales, engaging consumers, and delivering a polished, professional brand experience at every touchpoint.
You’ll serve as a key link between our Team Leads and the stores, embodying the brand with confidence and enthusiasm. With clear sales objectives to meet, we’re looking for someone driven, personable, and comfortable working independently while consistently creating meaningful interactions.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in customer-facing environments, enjoys connecting with people, and is comfortable handling and speaking about tobacco-related products. You’ll travel with a compact setup kit, be adaptable to different store settings, and play a critical role in bringing a high-end retail experience to life, one conversation at a time.
Responsibilities:
- Represent premium smoke-free products with professionalism and confidence in assigned retail locations (2 stores/day, 4 days/week)
- Drive in-store sales by engaging consumers, answering questions, and educating them on product benefits
- Deliver a polished, positive, and brand-right experience to every customer interaction
- Execute product setup and merchandising following brand guidelines
- Report daily on sales performance, consumer feedback, and key in-field insights
- Track and submit weekly travel expenses accurately and on time
- Maintain diligent records of store visits, inventory status, and product demonstrations
- Communicate consistently with your Team Lead and Manager to ensure alignment on field activity and campaign goals
- Transport and maintain your product kit, ensuring materials are clean, organized, and fully stocked
- Adapt to various retail environments while maintaining a high level of energy and professionalism
- Uphold all compliance standards related to the handling and promotion of tobacco-related products
Experience & Skills:
- 1+ year in retail or sales, bonus if you’ve sold premium or tobacco-related products
- Outgoing, confident and natural with people
- Organized and reliable, you know how to stay on top of daily tasks and reporting
- Driven by targets and proud to hit them
- Comfortable working solo but a team player at heart
- Able to adapt to different retail vibes and keep things polished
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle, you’ll be on the move with your kit
Requirements:
Even if your experience doesn’t check every single box in the Skills section above, we still encourage you to apply. We know resumes don’t tell the whole story.
That said, there are a few non-negotiables for this role. If you don’t meet the following, we won’t be able to consider your application:
- You’re based in Calgary, Toronto, or Montreal
- If you’re in Montreal, you’re fully bilingual in French and English
- You have previous experience in retail or sales
- You have a valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle
- You’re available to work in-field 4 days a week on a set schedule
- You’re available for the full contract, from June 30 to August 30
Perks & Culture:
- We’re a passionate team of creatives and marketers driven by a shared commitment to excellence.
- We work with brands we truly love, you’d definitely want on your resume.
- You’ll have an opportunity for professional growth and development in a collaborative environment that values new ideas and ways of thinking.
- We have small agency vibes, but. BIG results.
