Full Time Security Guard - Nestle
The day-to-day work activities of a Security Guard working at Nestle Canada include, but are not limited, the following duties:
Position: Full Time Security Guard
Site: Nestle Canada
Site Address: 980 Wilton Grove Road, London, ON N6A 6C5
Overtime Method: Employment Standards Act – calculating after 88 hours bi-weekly
Hours: Sunday – Thursday 2330-0730hrs
Payrate: $18.54/hr
Posting Date: May 22, 2025
Internal Closing Date: May 29, 2025
External Closing Date: June 19, 2025
Key responsibilities:
- Control entry and access to the plant and maintain accurate logs of those entering and leaving the plant
- Report safety non-compliances and all incidents to specified Nestle representative
- Aid in incident mitigation and investigations when required
- Maintain a helpful and professional affiliation with Nestle employees, carriers, contractors, and visitors
- Prevent, observe, detect and report thefts, break-ins, vandalism, accidents and fire.
Prerequisites:
- Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
- Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
- English (oral and written) fluency is a must
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
- Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
- Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
- Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite; however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
- Authorized to legally work in Canada
