About the role
The company is a specialized supplier of plastic and glass primary packaging products to the household consumer products industries (i.e. food, beverages, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, cleaning products etc), in Canada and the US.
This position is responsible for developing sales primarily with new accounts but also with existing customers in a territory that includes the Provinces of Quebec and the Maritimes.
The ideal candidate will prospect and generate new commercial business as well as perform cold-calls in the field to generate new permanent sales. This candidate should be able to support existing clients and new clients.
This position is remote with local travel to client sites and the primary office in Montreal (Ville Saint Laurent), when needed.
Responsibilities
- Identify leads, manage prospects and acquire new business
- Service existing clients
- Effectively demonstrate product line
- Meet established goals for territory development and sales quotas
- Successful experience selling primary packaging products
Qualifications
- 4+ years' B2B sales in the packaging or plastic and glass primary packaging industry
- Experience in developing and executing territory sales strategies
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently to meet or exceed goals
