Position Summary
The Manager, Performance Insights and Reporting, is responsible for the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of reporting systems that provide visibility into the full student recruitment and enrollment funnel. The successful candidate will build and manage end to end reporting processes from lead generation and conversion tracking to final enrollment outcomes, ensuring that key performance indicators are monitored at each stage. In addition to performance reporting, the candidate will be accountable for calculating and maintaining accurate data on student acquisition costs, enabling strategic decision making and ROI assessments. A critical component of this role will also involve supporting the observance and management of fiscal budgets across both the Student Recruitment and Marketing departments, offering data driven insights that inform budget planning, allocation, and optimization. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, analytical, and proactive, with experience producing actionable reports and visualizations that support operational and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust reporting systems and dashboards that track the key performance indicators across the lead to enrolment funnel.
- Track, analyze, and report on KPIs including lead acquisition, conversion rates, application volume, offer acceptance, and enrolment outcomes to surface actionable insights.
- Identify performance trends, forecast enrolment trajectories, and support strategic decision-making with data-driven insights.
- Calculate, monitor, and report on student recruitment costs across channels and campaigns.
- Analyze key financial metrics to evaluate ROI and support the optimization of recruitment and marketing spend.
- Collaborate with Recruitment, Marketing, and Finance to support budget forecasting, resource allocation, and variance reporting.
- Provide clear financial reporting and variance analysis to guide strategic investment in recruitment activities.
- Develop and deliver accurate performance reports tailored for diverse stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- Create dashboards and presentations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent, that communicate insights clearly and effectively.
- Translate complex datasets into actionable insights and strategic recommendations with data storytelling using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Identify and address data inconsistencies, gaps, or inefficiencies; implement improvements to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Conduct regular audits and validations of enrolment data to uphold compliance and reporting standards.
- Collaborate with the IT to maintain seamless functionality and integration of CRM and enrolment platforms (e.g., Salesforce).
- Provide data and insight to support institutional planning, marketing strategy, and student recruitment optimization.
- Act as a trusted analytics advisor to the Student Recruitment and Marketing teams, helping to shape recruitment strategy through performance analysis.
- Participate in cross-functional working groups and strategic planning sessions, contributing data-driven analytical expertise and enrolment .
- Stay current with trends and best practices in higher education enrolment analytics, marketing attribution, data visualization, and reporting tools.
- Manage and respond to ad hoc data requests and analysis projects from institutional leadership and departmental stakeholders.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement in reporting practices, data literacy and evidence-based planning within the institution.
The successful candidate will have the following essential qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field is required; Master’s degree in a related discipline is a strong asset.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in enrollment reporting, data analytics, business intelligence, or institutional research, preferably in a higher education or student recruitment context.
- Direct experience in a higher education, student recruitment, or enrolment management context is preferred.
- Experience collaborating with recruitment, marketing, and finance teams to align reporting with strategic goals.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in data visualization and BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Experience with CRM and marketing automation systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo).
- Advanced skills in Excel and working knowledge of SQL or similar query languages for data extraction and manipulation.
- Familiarity with enrolment forecasting, predictive modeling, segmentation, and marketing attribution analysis.
- Experience with financial modeling and budget analysis in a recruitment or marketing context.
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail with the ability to synthesize large datasets into actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to present complex data in accessible formats for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to create compelling data visualizations that support decision-making at all organizational levels.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
- Proactive, resourceful, and solution-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
- Strong organizational skills and adaptability in managing multiple priorities.
