Job Summary :
Build a Dream is seeking a proactive and goal-driven Business Development Coordinator to support our efforts in identifying and cultivating new business opportunities and partnerships. This role will focus on prospecting, lead generation, outreach, and assisting with the development of long-term partnerships with corporations, educational institutions, and community organizations. Ideal for a self-starter with strong research and communication skills, the Business Development Coordinator will play a key role in driving growth by identifying prospects, preparing outreach strategies, and supporting the execution of business development activities that align with Build a Dream’s mission.
Key Responsibilities:
Prospecting & Opportunity Identification
- Conduct market research to identify new partnerships and business development opportunities.
- Develop prospect lists and maintain a healthy pipeline of leads.
- Qualify leads and recommend follow-up strategies based on alignment with organizational goals.
- Support outreach campaigns to connect with new potential partners and funders.
Partnership Development Support
- Assist in cultivating relationships with prospective and current partners.
- Schedule and prepare for discovery calls, meetings, and presentations.
- Maintain accurate records of outreach, engagement, and communications in CRM systems.
- Collaborate with the Strategic Partnerships Lead to transition qualified leads into long-term relationships.
Sponsorship & Proposal Support
- Contribute to the creation of sponsorship decks and customized partnership proposals.
- Research and compile data to support sponsorship and funding requests.
- Help identify new revenue-generating opportunities aligned with our programs and events.
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Work closely with internal teams to align partner goals with program and event offerings.
- Assist in coordinating logistics for partnership meetings, presentations, and activations.
- Support event execution by helping ensure partner deliverables are met.
Reporting & Communication
- Track lead generation and conversion metrics.
- Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and communication materials to demonstrate impact.
- Ensure timely and professional communication with stakeholders.
- Other Duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Experience:
- Required: 2–4 years of experience in partnership development, business development, corporate relations, or related fields.
- Preferred: Experience in the nonprofit sector, corporate social responsibility, or mission-driven organizations.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong research and prospecting abilities.
- Strong relationship-building and interpersonal communication skills.
- Organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
- Detail-oriented and proactive with a solutions-focused mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
- Comfortable with cold outreach and initiating new connections.
- Able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Working Conditions:
This position offers flexibility for remote or hybrid work arrangements. Occasional travel may be required to attend partnership meetings, community events, and conferences. Some evening or weekend work may be necessary based on event schedules.
