About the role

Overview:

Reporting to the Managing Head of Campaigns, the role of the head of Planning and Operations will be a key point of contact across all stakeholders in KPMG's Global Resource Centre in Canada, the US, and the UK, as well as across KPMG's global network of member firms for marketing planning, delivery and operations activities. The role will lead the Operations and Delivery team that integrates planning, budgeting, measurement and program delivery across the three pillars of Campaigns. This role will ensure a consistent approach across the 3 team pillars, which will help align resources more effectively. This includes central program delivery resources across Marketing and to support Corporate Affairs’ flagship programs.

What you will do:

  • Ensure that all projects are developed on time, on budget, with the required quality and with the correct use of resources. Ensure that the vendors selected are best suited to the needs of the projects and ensure that the vendor database is constantly updated based on new needs that arise. Ensure that the project management of all campaigns is rigorous and based on the established process. Lead the offshore resources and ensure a flawless operation across geographies.
  • Develop best practice tools and processes to support the development and/or refresh of the marketing planning process, translating the CMO's strategic vision into detailed action steps and measurable KPIs, while ensuring alignment with the firmwide Collective Strategy.
  • Work with Finance to produce regular reporting to the marketing leadership team and the CMO.
  • Ensure marketing processes are fit for purpose, working with the marketing leadership team to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Coordinate, including design, facilitation and pre and post meeting actions/follow-up of virtual and in-person meetings.
  • Liaise across the Big 8 Member firms on planning and KPIs and sharing best practices.
  • Strong leadership experience in setting a clear vision, driving a positive team culture, and motivating a team of high performers.

What you bring to this role:

  • 10 years of related marketing and communications experience
  • Undergraduate degree or college diploma with an education preferably in marketing or communications.
  • Technical project management knowledge and experience of developing robust project plans and driving project execution.
  • Ability to quickly develop a broad and deep understanding of Global Marketing's strategic priorities and bring a good working knowledge of professional services.
  • Experience in marketing operations including deep understanding of demand gen and marketing technology
  • Understands and can articulate major tasks, deliverables, formal project management methodologies to implement initiatives
