Job Description:

Job Summary

The incumbent works on behalf of a function, department, division, or Territory managing a team and working as part of it on a range of financial responsibilities: developing and implementing accurate, timely, and complete spreadsheets and templates, budgets, and accounting documents.

Key Accountabilities

  • Coordinate regularly with field units, headquarters, auditors, vendors, funders, and government for all divisional financial processes and issues.
  • Support territorial budget reviews, monitor budget adherence, analyze deviations, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Review monthly financial indicators and reports, highlight concerns, and propose actionable solutions.
  • Evaluate, document, enhance, and monitor internal financial controls, identifying gaps and implementing improvements.
  • Prepare for internal audits, respond to inquiries, and address discrepancies noted by internal and external audits.
  • Contribute to updating the Territorial Finance Manual and Operating Policies, particularly related to internal controls.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on internal controls and fraud awareness to staff across the organization.
  • Recruit, manage, and evaluate finance team staff, ensuring adequate resources, training, and performance tracking.
  • Promote teamwork, provide input on finance policies, and support interdepartmental collaboration and compliance.
  • Participate in special projects, attend relevant meetings, and engage in professional development activities.

Education and Experience Qualifications

  • Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
  • Five years of prior related experience in the finance/accounting field in management capacity.
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal skills, commitment to quality service, and customer-focused approach.
  • Highly detail-oriented with a strong focus on precision in all work.
  • Excels in analyzing complex issues and developing effective solutions.
  • Skilled in coaching, mentoring, and managing teams effectively.
  • Open to new ideas, adaptable in dynamic environments, and proactive in managing change.
  • Capable of understanding diverse financial reporting standards across countries.
  • Maintains high ethical standards, fairness, and tact in all interactions.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage time effectively and work independently.

Compensation:

The target hiring range for this position is $100,390.71 to $125,488.38 with a maximum of $150,586.06.

Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
