Position Overview:*****
We’re seeking a Director of Geospatial Insights & Strategy to lead our geospatial intelligence function – turning spatial data into actionable insights that shape the strategy.
Reporting to the VP of Business Analytics and Planning, you will be responsible for driving market intelligence using advanced GIS analytics, guiding sales and marketing through digital targeting and competitive footprint assessments, and owning the development and evolution of E-Coverage, our ArcGIS-powered GIS platform.
This is a multidisciplinary role blending strategy, analytics, and technical GIS expertise—with measurable influence across organizational performance, planning, and go-to-market success.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the organization’s location intelligence strategy to deliver actionable insights for business leaders and champion the value of spatial analytics
- Design and communicate compelling visual stories through spatial analysis to unlock market opportunities
- Align geospatial efforts with enterprise priorities and integrate geospatial insights into executive decision-making frameworks
- Own the end-to-end roadmap, development, and evolution of E-Coverage, our in-house GIS platform built on ArcGIS
- Oversee spatial data pipelines, infrastructure, and governance to ensure data integrity and platform accuracy on customer coverage, market areas, and sales enablement layers
- Advance the platform’s capabilities to support future expansion, automation, and innovation while delivering the evolving business needs
- Support Sales, Go-To-Market (GTM) and Field teams with intuitive geospatial tools to drive performance
- Drive precision in digital marketing strategies by leveraging geospatial insights to maximize ROI and improve conversion rates
- Continuously improve geo-targeting methodologies through experimentation and performance feedback. Test and scale advanced targeting methods
- Monitor and analyze competitor footprints to understand market trends and evolving landscapes
- Use external market data and internal intelligence for strategic market analysis to guide strategies and long-range planning
- Maintain a pulse on competitor locations, market penetration, and spatial shifts
- Deliver regular updates and strategic briefs to leadership on competitive movements
- Lead and mentor a Senior Manager and Analyst including day-to-day coaching, feedback, and support to foster technical excellence and career growth
- Drive team engagement, professional development, and a culture of curiosity and innovation
The ideal candidate will possess:
- 8+ years in analytics, strategy, or market intelligence; with experience leading cross-functional teams
- Experience with ArcGIS and business applications of location intelligence
- Ability to interpret large datasets, spatial modeling, and competitive market analysis
- Technical skills in SQL, Python and/or Alteryx an asset
- Exceptional communication, prioritization and stakeholder management skills
- Strong data storytelling skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to executive audiences
- A passion for harnessing spatial intelligence to fuel competitive advantage
