The Company
Mainstreet Equity Corporation is a distinguished real estate company that is publicly traded on Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX). Its business focus is on acquisition & upgrading of residential properties and managing its own portfolio of over 18,000 residential apartments in four provinces across Canada.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review and evaluate all MEQ applications from potential tenants that come in.
  • Verify applicant information, including rental history, employment, and references.
  • Evaluate financial information to determine applicants' eligibility for tenancy.
  • Communicate with the team to follow up with prospective tenants to gather any additional required documentation
  • Collaborate with property managers, leasing agents and regional managers to cosure adherence to leasing policies and criteria set out by the head office.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of tenant applications and related documents
  • Provide timely and clear communication to the operations team on the application status.
  • Update website content based on operation schedule (rental rates, Leasing split and contact information, ete).
  • Perform a sample check on our website to ensure accurate information.
  • Compile data, statistics and relevant information to support daily, weekly and monthly operational activities and generate reports as required
  • Manage and maintain a record of the inventory of company uniforms and coordinate with marketing to replenish stock when it falls below the minimum threshold.
  • Perform general administrative tasks, including filing, scanning, and data entry, as well as any other relevant dutics assigned
  • If necessary, assist other corporate administrator teams to ensure that all deadlines are met.
  • Handling deadlmes and performing under pressure.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Experience in reviewing rental applications and verifying tenant information
  • Basic knowledge of financial documents to assess eligibility
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills
  • Ability to work with leasing agents, property managers, and regional teams
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational and record-keeping skills
  • Comfortable updating website content and performing accuracy checks
  • Skilled in compiling reports and handling administrative tasks
  • Able to manage inventory and coordinate restocking
  • Flexible, dependable, and able to meet tight deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with property systems is a plus
