JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Associate plays a crucial role in the production team. This position involves operating, maintaining, and providing operational support for all manufacturing equipment. Key responsibilities include production operational support, cleaning production equipment, preparing for production cycles and participating in Thurso site’s preventive maintenance program. The operator will work closely with the production and engineering teams to implement process improvements and contribute to the business needs through continuous improvement initiatives.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The essential functions listed below are representative of the functions that must be performed to satisfactorily fulfill the purpose of this job. Additional functions and duties may be assumed or assigned from time to time.

  • Operate, maintain, and support manufacturing equipment and other relevant systems.
  • Perform preparation procedures to ensure optimal performance and adherence to scheduled cycle times.
  • Closely works with Maintenance supervisor and production leads to perform scheduled maintenance on the equipment.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping the workspace organized and following safety protocols.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of this job.

  • High School Diploma, Millwright or 2-year technology diploma, or an equivalent certification or qualification.
  • Possess basic maintenance skills, including familiarity with common hand and power tools and how to properly use them (Hammer, wrench, screwdrivers, pliers, putty knife, etc.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and communicate work instructions and specifications.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Project, Teams, and Outlook
