Hotel Grand Pacific is seeking two hospitality enthusiasts to join our Reservations team. Proudly affiliated with Preferred Hotels & Resorts, Hotel Grand Pacific is located on Victoria’s beautiful inner harbour, on the traditional territories of the Lekwungen Peoples.

The Agent will work up to 40 hours per week, 15-29 hrs/wk (sometimes) providing excellent service to prospective and repeat guests. Shift times are 8 hours and will vary between mornings, evenings, split shifts , and weekends.

Duties:

· Efficiently handle all incoming calls while following Hotel security protocols

· Respond to guest email inquiries in a professional and timely manner

· Create guest reservations and ensure booking preferences are met

· Maximize hotel occupancy and average daily rate using effective sales skills

· Exceed guest expectations and minimize inconveniences through delivery of exceptional service

What We’re Looking for:

· 1 year of reservations/sales experience within the hotel or tourism industry

· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel)

· Typing speed of 50 wpm

· Knowledge of Opera PMS preferred

· Professional & pleasant phone manner and excellent written communication skills

· Comfortable dealing with a high call volume

· Able to maintain constant concentration and attention to detail despite interruptions

· Dependable team player with a positive attitude and great work ethic

· Able to work up to 40 hours per week, 15-29 hrs/wk (sometimes), more then 30 hrs/wk (most) on a variety of days including weekends, split shifts.
