We’re currently seeking a Lowbed Operator to join our high-performing team. In this key role, you’ll work closely to safely and efficiently transport materials and equipment to and from job sites. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Prioritize safety above all else—for yourself, your team, and the public
- Operate dump trucks to load, transport, and unload materials and equipment safely
- Keep your truck clean, inside and out, and ensure all garbage is removed daily
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete logbooks accurately
- Fuel and grease your truck on schedule
- Report any mechanical issues to our Maintenance Manager
- Submit daily timecards and FLHAs
- Return keys/fobs at the end of each shift
- Support a safe and tidy worksite environment
- Use and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Take on additional duties as required
- Work flexible hours with
regular overtime as part of the role—although it’s not guaranteed or expected, it is common
What You Bring to the Table:
- Valid Class 1 driver’s licence with a clean driver’s abstract (within the last 30 days)
- Experience in road construction or equipment hauling is an asset
- Strong focus on safely, especially in challenging weather and terrain
- Reliable, with a strong work ethic and can-do attitude
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
- Basic truck maintenance knowledge
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable in variable outdoor conditions (dust, mud, noise, etc.)
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team
- Valid safety certifications such as First Aid/CPR, TDG, and H2S Alive are considered assets
Location & Schedule:
This position is based out of Cranbrook, BC, with job sites throughout the East Kootenays and Alberta. Shift schedules will vary depending on project demands. While overtime is not guaranteed or expected, it will be a regular component of this role.
