About the role

OVERVIEW

Acts as part of a multidisciplinary team with a receptionist role and performs clerical duties including data entry as related to ANSOS and OMNI server; maintains statistical information for various patient care areas within the Health Services/Service Delivery Units.

EDUCATION

  • Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent educational preparation.

  • Proficient computer and keyboarding skills required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous Unit Clerk experience preferred.
  • Related experience an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Demonstrates basic mathematical skills.
  • Demonstrates tact, diplomacy, and discretion in matters related to patients, staff, and hospital affairs.
  • Demonstrates compliance with confidentiality requirements.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and the willingness to work effectively individually and in a team environment.
  • Ability to maintain a consistent level of productivity and efficiency.
  • Ability to perform responsibilities in a courteous and customer focused manner.
  • Effective organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Embodies the values of MGH.
  • Must be prepared to work in all areas of the Surgery Health Service.
  • Good work and attendance record required.
