Position Summary We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Social Media & Communications Manager to lead our social media strategy and corporate communications efforts. This role is responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing our owned social media channels, managing the editorial calendar, monitoring media coverage, and drafting press releases and corporate messaging. The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller with a strong grasp of digital trends and a keen eye for brand voice and reputation management.
Major Duties & Responsibilities Social Media Management
- Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with business goals.
- Own and manage the editorial calendar across all platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook)
- Create, curate, and schedule engaging content that reflects the brand’s voice and values.
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, sales, originations, product, TLC) to align messaging and campaigns.
- Monitor social media trends, tools, and applications, and apply best practices.
Corporate Communications
- Draft, edit, and distribute press releases, media statements, and executive communications.
- Support internal communications initiatives as needed to ensure consistency in messaging.
- Assist in crisis communication planning and execution.
- Monitor traditional and digital media for brand mentions, industry trends, and competitor activity.
- Analyze media coverage and social media performance; prepare regular reports with insights and recommendations.
- Maintain media contact lists and build relationships with key journalists and influencers.
Here’s What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in social media management, public relations or corporate communications.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Proficiency with social media management tools (e.g., Vista, Sprout, Meltwater) and analytics platforms.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications & Experience Degrees, Diplomas & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
Years and Range of Experience Required to Perform the Job:
- 4+ years of Experience
- The position requires strong written and verbal communication skills and exceptional organization and time management skills
