Foremost is a large and diverse industrial manufacturer. We specialize in equipment for oil & gas, mining, construction and waterwell markets and have grown to be one of the largest vacuum truck manufacturers in Canada. In early 2019, Foremost acquired the operating assets of Steel Craft Inc. and JTL Industries, leading to the addition of ULC Fuel Tanks and Agriculture Grain Bins to Foremost’s product line. Accountabilities:
- Monthly working paper file preparation, supporting schedules and calculations, and journal entries
- Analyze business unit performance against key performance indicators
- Communicate financial results to business unit managers
- Calculation of monthly revenue and work-in-progress valuations
- Responsible for period-end close procedures
- Reconciliations of ERP variances in costs, inventory, reports, and coding
- Assist with preparing deliverables for external auditors
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards – GAPP, IFRS
- Evaluating processes and identifying areas of improvement
- Other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Accounting or an Accounting diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution combined with 5+ years’ experience in the industry
- Experience with complex ERP systems in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Accuracy and attention to detail while working under tight deadlines
- Must be a hands-on performer who can both create accounting and financial information and evaluate that information critically
- Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Dependable team player with a professional attitude and a desire for continuous improvement
- Advanced proficiency of MS Excel
