About the Role
In this role, you'll lead the planning, coordination and execution of fundraising events, manage Alberta Dreams' digital presence, and support our mission of making Dreams Come True for children with life-threatening medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities
Event Management (50%)
- Plan, design, and execute Alberta Dreams’ signature and third-party fundraising events.
- Manage all logistics—venue, catering, entertainment, volunteers, and more.
- Support sponsor fulfillment and track event registrations.
- Assist in creating our third-party fundraising event toolkit.
Marketing & Social Media (25%)
- Create and schedule engaging content for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter.
- Capture and share impact stories from donors and events.
- Maintain website content and donor recognition.
- Develop newsletters and marketing campaigns.
General Admin Support (25%)
- Provide support to the Director of FUNd & Community Engagement and Alberta Dreams team.
- Manage inquiries, maintain databases, and prepare documentation and reports.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in event planning and marketing.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
- Proficiency in MS Office, CRM, web analytics, and digital content creation.
- A passion for community impact and making a difference.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Communications, or a related field preferred.
Compensation & Perks
- Base Salary: $50,000 – $60,000/year (based on experience).
- Incentive Bonuses (up to 7%) based on:
- Event success & sponsor fulfillment
- Social media growth & campaign execution
- Accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency in operations
