The Opportunity
Deveraux Developments is seeking a Development Coordinator to join our expanding team in Calgary. The position offers competitive salaries, opportunities for skill development and growth, exposure to new construction methods, and involvement in unique community-focused projects. With a secured 5-year pipeline of projects throughout western Canada, there are strong future prospects. What you bring...
- 1 year+ experience in real estate development, municipal planning, or other related industry.
- Experience with working with municipalities or regulators.
- A relevant undergraduate degree/diploma preferably in architecture, engineering, construction management, real estate, city planning, urban land economics, or a related field.
- Strong work ethic with a keen attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, and well organized.
- MS Office skills – Excel, word, OneNote, and Project. Experience in Procore would be preferred.
- A self-starter attitude who is highly motivated and passionate for success, with the ability to manage your own time without supervision.
- Problem solver with a can-do attitude who is approachable, patient, open to change, and a good sense of humor.
- Goal oriented, confident, adaptable, and committed to a cohesive team environment with the ambition to learn about real estate development and grow within our team.
- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
You will...
- Assist the development team on all aspects of the pre-construction development process including acquisitions, design development, and contract documents development.
- Manage the administration of all project documents – including drawings, contracts, permit applications, various municipal approvals, and other general correspondence.
- Ensure all deliverables are being completed by external stakeholders and following up on deliverables that require input from various internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure the developments team is prepared with information for meetings and presentations.
- Liaise with a variety of consultants including architects, engineers, and planners.
- Participate in the development of high quality and detailed drawing sets, while exploring new and efficient designs and technologies.
- Perform other reasonable duties.
- Inter-provincial travel may occasionally be required.
Additional Information
Please note that this role will require the selected candidate to have availability to work some evenings and weekends. You must also be legally eligible to work in Canada (e.g., be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or possess a valid work permit) and provide a satisfactory Criminal Background Check.
