About the role
The Site Steward serves as a critical liaison between site-specific operations and broader business and IT functions, ensuring the seamless integration and optimization of site processes. This role is integral to our data operation efforts, particularly in areas like the store setup process, and requires active engagement with business partners. The Site Steward possesses the expertise, analytical skills, and communication abilities to understand site-specific needs and translate them into actionable insights for various initiatives and projects. This proactive individual is responsible for navigating complex site-related issues, championing process improvements, and ensuring alignment between site operations and overall business objectives within a dynamic environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for business users, translating complex business needs into clear IT requirements and resolving system, process, and data inquiries through root cause analysis and incident management.
- Proactively identify and champion opportunities for continuous process improvement and optimization, leveraging ad-hoc analysis and optimal utilization of SAP and other applications.
- Manage the timely, accurate, and audited execution of data setup processes for all sites (stores, offices, DCs) in SAP, ensuring data integrity and successful operations.
- Maintain technical proficiency to leverage, build, and run store setup technologies, including automation (bots), Power Apps, scorecards, and reporting.
- Ensure adherence to data standards by documenting, auditing, and educating business users on best practices.
- Actively review, validate, and provide sign-off on Change Requests, Business Requirements, Functional Designs, Impact Assessments, and other relevant project documentation.
- Provide input, approve, and lead/execute test scenarios, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), performing data validation for project deliverables.
- Identify potential risk areas within site operations and develop effective mitigation strategies.
What you Bring:
- Demonstrated strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills, with the ability to conduct ad-hoc analysis and identify optimization opportunities.
- Excellent communication (written, verbal, presentation), interpersonal, and facilitation skills, capable of effectively engaging with all levels of the organization and diverse stakeholders (IT, Merchandising, Finance, etc.). Proven ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively.
- Strong process management capabilities, including the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize work, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- A self-starter with a demonstrated ability to adapt to new situations, thrive in a fast-paced work environment and drive change.
- In-depth process knowledge of relevant business organizations and units.
- Experience in change management, with a proven ability to influence leaders and teams across the enterprise.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Progressive experience in business process analysis, project management, or a similar role within a large-scale operational environment.
- Strong knowledge of SAP, Business Process Management (BPM) and Project Management methodologies is a significant asset.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python is an asset.
