About the role
ServiceMaster Restore of Guelph is a leader in Disaster Restoration offering both mitigation and construction services in response to water damage, fire, smoke, vandalism and other property damage. We have an opening for an Estimator/Project Manager.
Our PMs work as integral members of our team with both Management and Production Departments to ensure maximum efficiency/profitability on projects, a high level of customer service and full file compliance.
ServiceMaster Restore of Guelph provides ongoing training. Education is provided and is on-going throughout the year with both in house training and third party (IICRC).
Responsibilities and Duties
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, sub-contractors and associates of the company.
- Accurately & independently develop scopes of work, project methods and finished proposals, utilizing Xactimate estimating software and other project management tools;
- Analyze bid proposals from trades, project schedules, and estimates, negotiating with trades where required to meet job costing targets;
- Maintain project schedules and budgets throughout the project, issuing change orders for the price or schedule as required on a timely and ongoing basis;
- Attend initial and ongoing site meetings throughout the course of managed projects with clients as well as employees and subtrades to ensure quality service;
- Manage key performance metrics in Xactanalysis, meeting or exceeding established requirements;
- Provide and maintain project control throughout assigned projects, ensuring on-site safety, supervision and thorough record keeping;
- Form part of the Project Management ON CALL rotation
- Ensure every project is fully documented with photos at every substantial stage;
- Review and approve sub-trade & vendor invoicing for payment;
- Manage file closing to include; job costing analysis and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications and Skills
- Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role;
- Have construction experience and knowledge of Ontario Building Code.
- Be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
- Have superior leadership, interpersonal and time management skills;
- Must have a G license (Driver Abstract required)
- Be completely fluent in both written and spoken English.;
- Have excellent organizational skills and flexibility and be able to think on your feet ;
- Be very comfortable working in a digital environment
- Be comfortable working under tight deadlines/ high pressure
- Have strong problem solving skills;
- Proven experience using estimating software. Experience with Xactimate .
