AML Internal Auditor – 3 month contract with possible extension
Title: AML Internal Auditor
Status: 3+ years
Location: Toronto - Can be fully remote
**This is a 3 month contract to begin immediately**
This is a 3 year contract opportunity within our client’s Financial Crimes Services.
We are looking for AML Internal Auditors to service a client engagement opportunity in the financial services sector in Toronto. This opportunity starts mid July until end of October with an opportunity to extend. The work arrangement will be hybrid with an expectation to come into office 2-3 days a week.
What you will do:
Senior Consultant will be responsible for:
- Execute on various testing steps as part of Enterprise AML Program independent assessments.
- Identify key issues, carrying out the relevant analysis, interpreting results, and reporting key findings relevant to AML/ATF Compliance.
- Maintain strong knowledge and skills sets relevant to industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct walkthrough, test of design and test of operating effectiveness.
- Support the engagement manager in the regulatory validation closure memo.
- Support the engagement manager in the reporting phase.
Your qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as Internal Auditor in a financial/Banking industry
- 1+ years of experience in an AML setting.
- CAMS, CFCS, CIA and/or other applicable designations
- A bachelor’s in accounting, legal or any other relevant field of study
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint
- Strong analytical and report writing skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (French would be an asset)
- Knowledge of key AML/Sanctions compliance regulations at minimum Canadian (PCMLTFA/R, OSFI, FINTRAC).
