About This Opportunity In this role, you will provide revenue and profit guidance for the day-to-day operations as well as strategic planning and long-term initiatives with the goal of accelerating profitable growth. You will report to the Director, RGM, Large Store and act as a key business partner to the Customer Team (Sales).
Responsibilities
- Ownership of the revenue plan for Customers in our large store (LS) retail channel (Conventional Grocery, Discount Grocery, and Club), enabling the organization to achieve its economic targets for revenue, volume, mix and rate with a strong focus on profit margin
- Process development and management of all LS customer investments, their ROI, and the management of risks and opportunities to support profitable revenue growth
- Assist in building rate increases by examining current internal pricing, external retail information, COGS (cost of goods sold) and volume elasticity to provide optimal scenarios
- Collaboratively build business proposals & lead scenario evaluations for customer and brand opportunities
- Provide context to our long-term revenue roadmap with the intent of inspiring CCCBL employees at all levels
- Integrate and adopt trade promotion optimization and trade spend optimization insights
- Action insights from the commercial, customer and operations teams for product portfolio optimization, brand needs, pricing optimization, and customer requests
- Lead analysis of industry and company trends to make insightful recommendations
- Track trade spend accruals, risks, and opportunities
- Provide accurate revenue projections by customer for financial rolling estimate (RE)
Qualifications
- 5+ years related work experience
- University degree or college diploma: Economics, Business Administration or related field
- Demonstrated ability to build trusting relationships as a business partner, leader and coach
- Excellent collaboration skills required to work with key stakeholders across different functions
- Ability to present a customer-back and consumer-first mindset to a broad array of stakeholders
- Strong ability to problem solve using unique and innovative solutions with exceptional attention to detail
- High degree of financial acumen - experience with P&L management and analysis
- Nielsen experience is an asset
- Power BI and/or data science experience an asset
- Team management experience an asset
