The Corporate HR Generalist will be responsible for supporting a variety of resource functions across the organization, ensuring consistency and compliance with corporate policies and employment laws. This role encompasses recruitment, employee relations, HR administration, training, compliance and contributions to strategic HR initiatives

Responsibilities HR Administration: Maintain and update employee records in ADP Workforce Now, ensuring accuracy and compliance with data privacy regulations. Prepare and manage HR documentation including employment contracts, policy acknowledgements and employee status changes. Generate and analyze HR metrics, such as turnover, headcount and health and safety, and present findings to management. Oversee payroll processing by ensuring accurate submission of employee data.

Recruitment and Onboarding: Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop or modify job descriptions as required. Post advertisements, screen applicants, and coordinate interviews with candidates and hiring managers. Conduct pre-employment checks, including reference checks and cognitive ability testing. Facilitate onboarding processes to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.

Employee Relations: Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions about policies, procedures and benefits. Handle routine employee concerns and escalate to the HR Manager when necessary. Promote a positive work environment by fostering open communication and employee engagement.

Training and Development: Coordinate employee training programs and track participation in mandatory and optional development programs. Manage learning platforms, such as LinkedIn Learning, by enrolling employees, recommending courses and creating tailored learning paths.

Compliance and Policy Implementation: Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies by maintaining accurate and up-to-date records. Assist in drafting, updating and communicating HR policies and procedures.

HR Projects and Initiatives: Contribute to the development and implementation of HR programs across the organization. Assist with employee communications, including corporate initiatives, policy updates and company announcement.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years experience in a generalist role
  • Proficient in utilizing the ADP Workforce Now platform
  • Understanding of HR principles, employment laws and compliance requirements
  • Strong computer skills, including expertise in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster trust and maintain positive working relationships
  • Initiative to make independent decisions while knowing when to escalate issues appropriately
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Analytical and detail-oriented mindset, with a commitment to accuracy
  • Demonstrated creativity and forward-thinking approach towards implementing HR strategies
  • Adaptability to adjust priorities and pivot quickly in response to changing business needs
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team while also functioning independently
