Job Description:
- Lead and develop the rental administration team, including recruitment, onboarding, coaching, and performance management to build a high-performing, safety-conscious workforce.
- Champion a strong safety culture, ensuring all site employees follow Finning’s safety standards, policies, and compliance requirements.
- Oversee rental contract processes, conducting monthly audits, identifying non-conformances, and driving continuous improvement in documentation and workflow.
- Manage equipment fleet readiness, assigning rental assets to branches based on project needs and coordinating seasonal preparation and availability.
- Coordinate service and repair activities, including quote validation, shop scheduling, and turnaround time communication to ensure equipment is delivered on time and in optimal condition.
- Resolve customer issues related to billing, delivery, and equipment quality, while maintaining strong relationships with internal departments and external vendors.
- Monitor and control financial performance, including R&M costs, service invoice accuracy, and monthly billing to ensure revenue and cost alignment within 10% variance.
- Drive KPI performance, using data to identify trends, improve operational efficiency, and support strategic goals across safety, service, and financial metrics.
- Support system and process enhancements, leading or participating in rental-related projects and implementing new tools or procedures to improve service delivery.
- Ensure vendor accountability, conducting quarterly performance reviews and collaborating with accounts payable to resolve outstanding issues and maintain vendor relationships.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in a technical field such as electrical or mechanical trades; Red Seal certification is considered a strong asset.
- 3–5 years of experience in rental operations, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role within a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of rental processes and KPIs, including contract management, equipment readiness, and service coordination.
- Proficiency with rental systems and tools, including RentalMan, Microsoft Office Suite, and internal operational platforms.
- Proven leadership and team development skills, with experience in coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to resolve customer issues and collaborate across departments and vendors.
- Solid understanding of equipment applications, including power generation, temperature control, and compressed air systems.
- Strong financial acumen, with the ability to manage R&M costs, billing accuracy, project accruals, and vendor performance metrics.

- This position is based out of our Grande Prairie office location.
- Permanent, full-time role.
- Monday – Friday, 5 x 2 schedule.
