About the role
Our client is seeking a Family Lawyer to join their team, primarily based in the Edmonton office, with some flexibility for remote work.
What You'll Do
- Handle family law cases from start to finish.
- Attend court, mediations, and meetings.
- Draft legal documents and agreements.
- Meet with clients and provide legal advice.
- Manage settlements and negotiations.
- Oversee a Legal Assistant who will support you.
- Help grow the practice by building client relationships.
Leadership Duties
- Train and support your Legal Assistant.
- Help manage staff performance and workplace issues.
- Promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
What We're Looking For
- Law degree and licensed to practice in Alberta.
- At least 5 years of family law experience.
- Knowledge of Alberta family law rules and legislation.
- Good at legal research, writing, and communication.
- Able to work independently and in a team.
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office and legal software.
