The role is to build our test station, wire them and then complete the electrical/optical validation.
- Must be able to lift heavy items as some of the test equipment is heavy to install
- Be able to read and understand layout drawings that show the physical placing of equipment but also the wiring and fiber layout.
- Good with tools
- Working knowledge of windows and matlabs will help.
- Ability to debug if validation does not pass.
- Station building is a solo job but must be able to work in a group.
- Not intimidated by tight schedule and cost churn
- Good communication skills, need to give status updates and work with test engineering group.
Salary Range:
The salary range for this role in Ottawa is $60, 800 - $97, 000
Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business. Please note that the pay range information provided in this posting pertains specifically to the primary location, which is the top location listed in case multiple locations are available.
Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
