Position Description

Title: Industrial Electrician

Position Purpose: The Industrial Electrician installs, troubleshoots and repairs complex electrical and electronic equipment and distribution systems involving electrical and mechanical work of a broad nature.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair automated manufacturing processes
  • Plan and install electrical and electronic components on a wide variety of equipment
  • Occasionally perform minor mechanical repairs
  • Manage personal workflow using a computerized maintenance system for work orders, parts, and work history
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 3rd year Apprentice Electrician
  • A strong understanding of control systems, Allen Bradley controllers, variable speed drives, networks and communications
  • General troubleshooting and work planning skills

  • 12-hour shifts on rotation between day and night shift
