Ring Notifications team is looking for a driven, innovative and motivated Senior Software Development Engineer (Sr. SDE) to join our team focusing on Ring Notification systems. Our systems ensure critical real-time notifications are delivered to customers on time ensuring neighbourhood safeness. We are looking for a Sr. SDE to help refine our roadmap and technical direction, enhance neighbourhoods experiences through AI-powered solutions and follow through with detailed architecture, design, tests, and accelerated adoption of AI tooling in our development lifecycle. The Sr. SDEs in the Ring org lead the operational excellence of high-scale distributed systems, and work across organizations to deliver end-to-end scalable features for neighbourhoods.

Sr. SDEs at Ring contribute to all the steps of the software development lifecycle. They gather, discuss and suggest requirements and features, they design and implement software, automate testing and operate the services their team owns.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

  • Experience with Generative AI driven products and features
