THE WORK:
(Internal Title: Business System Configuration / Development II)
Data Science and Strategic Support
- Assist the Data Science Manager in achieving departmental objectives and aligning data-driven initiatives with organizational strategic goals
- Lead and support data transformation projects, encompassing data engineering, advanced data integration, and development of sophisticated reporting applications tailored to client requirements
- Design and execute comprehensive strategic roadmaps for data management, mobilization, and governance, supporting advanced analytics initiatives and data science experiments
- Collaborate directly with data scientists to provide robust analytical frameworks, preprocessing data, and facilitating exploratory data analysis (EDA)
- Provide mentorship, technical guidance, and strategic insights to junior analysts and team members, particularly regarding statistical analysis and data science methodologies
Collaboration and Teamwork
- Foster robust collaborative relationships with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment on complex, data-intensive projects
- Champion team capability enhancement through structured training sessions, knowledge-sharing workshops, and continuous improvement initiatives focused on advanced analytics and data science tools
- Actively engage in cross-departmental forums to advocate for advanced analytics practices, data literacy, and the integration of complex analytical findings into business strategies
Data Architecture and Management
- Design, implement, and maintain highly scalable and flexible data architectures to accommodate evolving business needs, operational excellence, and support advanced analytical techniques
- Lead the creation and ongoing management of comprehensive data dictionaries, catalogs, and lineage documentation to facilitate clear data understanding, supporting complex analytical processes
- Drive initiatives to systematically address data debt, optimize data pipelines, structures, and ensure robust data quality management and governance standards, crucial for advanced analytics reliability
Analytics and Insights
- Apply advanced data modeling, statistical analysis, and machine learning techniques to construct and refine data structures optimized for high-performance analysis and predictive modeling
- Conduct complex data analyses and support data science experiments, delivering actionable insights and predictive models to inform strategic business decisions and operational efficiencies
- Collaborate with stakeholders and data science teams to gather requirements, translate complex data needs into coherent technical specifications, and deliver actionable analytical solutions
Reporting and Analytics Enablement
- Develop and oversee sophisticated reporting and advanced analytics strategies, leveraging data engineering tools, automated pipelines, predictive analytics, and modern visualization frameworks to enhance reporting efficiency, accuracy, and insightfulness
- Establish and maintain self-service analytics ecosystems that enable stakeholders to perform complex analyses independently, including predictive modeling and exploratory data analysis
- Regularly review and optimize reporting and analytics frameworks to align with emerging business needs, analytical advancements, and technological innovations

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in PMIS Application, Implementation and Configuration
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Data Science, or related discipline; Master’s degree preferred
- CSM, ITIL V4, and certifications in tools like Microsoft SQL Server, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Azure, or GCP
Skills and Competencies:
- Power BI, and SQL, including data modeling, advanced visualization techniques, and dashboard/report development
- ETL processes, data governance frameworks, data quality management, and data integrity protocols
- Advanced analytical tools including Excel, Power Query, DAX, Python, R, and statistical software for comprehensive data analysis and predictive modeling
- Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Virtual Agents), Data Marts, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and other Azure cloud data solutions
- Proven experience in the capital projects domain is advantageous, demonstrating the ability to understand and apply domain-specific data analytics effectively
- Exceptional problem-solving, critical-thinking, and analytical abilities, with a strong results-oriented approach
- Experience with project control tools, analytics frameworks, and dashboarding/reporting software, enabling precise performance tracking and project insights is a plus
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Power BI, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), including advanced functionalities such as macros and scripting
- Familiarity and proficiency with Microsoft SharePoint, Primavera P6, SQL databases, and Earned Value Management software is a plus
- Demonstrated capability to adapt quickly to new technologies and software applications relevant to data analysis and business intelligence
