The Post Office Supervisor is responsible for the overall operation of the Post Office including sales/profitability, productivity and supervision of employees. The Post Office Supervisor will ensure operational excellence in retail merchandising, inventory management, and customer relations. The Supervisor will also coach and develop their team to provide superior customer service and shopping experiences through execution of strategy while achieving budgeted financial results. Actively contributes to an environment of employee and customer engagement.

Here’s where you’ll be focusing:

People Leadership

  • Create a coaching and development culture for all employees
  • Oversee department management including recruitment, succession planning, orientation and training and performance management

Customer Offering

  • Ensure superior execution of Lawtons Drugs/Canada Post programs and provide feedback and recommendations to appropriate parties
  • Role model, coach and reinforce customer service expectations on a daily basis to all staff
  • Create a shopping experience that engages your customers in a way that enhances loyalty, sales and profit
  • Execute winning conditions

Policy/Regulatory Adherence

  • Ensure all applicable company policies and procedures are communicated and adhered

Financial

  • Manage department budget
  • Perform department administrative duties as required
  • Responsible to ensure efficient operation of the department to achieve all financial targets and deliver on budget KPI’s

Other Duties

  • Provide feedback for continuous improvements
  • Support all company initiative, programs and standards
  • Responsible for ensuring that OH&S, and other regulatory requirements and procedures, are implemented and maintained
  • Other duties as required

What you have to offer:

  • Above average communication skills (both oral and written)

  • Strong mathematical skills

  • 2 years Post Office experience

  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment

  • Knowledge of Canada Post RPS system

  • High school diploma

  • Available days, evenings, and weekends
