About the role

Our leading investments client is looking for a JUNIOR Workday Business Systems Analyst to join their team on a part-time basis. This role will operate 2-3 days a week on a 6 month term with possibility of extension.

In this role, you'll work closely with HR partners, IT teammates, and external vendors to optimize and support Workday and other HR systems. You’ll be part of a fast-paced environment where your ideas for process improvement and system enhancements will help drive strategic business outcomes.

You’ll be stepping into a collaborative environment, working alongside a current team member who’s transitioning to fewer hours.

Duties:

  • Support and help configure the Workday HCM platform and related HR systems
  • Gather business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into functional specifications
  • Participate in testing activities – from creating test cases to executing them
  • Develop documentation, user guides, and training materials
  • Act as a go-to partner for HR and IT teams, delivering timely support and solutions
  • Recommend and implement improvements to HR processes and system usage
  • Manage multiple priorities and enhancement requests efficiently

Experience and Skills:

  • Education : A university degree in Computer Science, IT, Human Resources, or equivalent experience
  • Experience :
  • 1–2 years working with ERP systems (Workday experience is essential)
  • Hands-on familiarity with Workday modules like HCM, Payroll, Absence, or Compensation
  • Skills :
  • Solid understanding of ERP systems, SDLC, and data privacy best practices
  • Familiarity with HR processes and policies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication – you’re able to explain tech concepts in plain language
  • Collaborative, self-motivated, and organized
  • Tools : Comfortable with MS Office (Excel, Outlook) and familiar with Agile or Scrum

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Workday integrations or reporting
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 or Power Platform
