Position Overview
We’re looking to add a Junior Accountant to our growing accounting department at our Mississauga head office. If you’re detail-oriented, dependable, and thrive in a fast-paced setting, this is your opportunity to join a collaborative and results-driven team.
Key Responsibilities
- Process financial transactions including customer invoices, employee expenses, and supplier payments
- Handle accounts payable communications and follow up on outstanding balances
- Prepare and execute weekly cheque runs and payouts
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Maintain up-to-date accounting records for sales and expenses
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing, including working papers
- Digitize and organize financial documents for better record-keeping
- Support audits by providing requested documentation and reports
- Perform ad hoc accounting duties as needed
- Adapt to evolving responsibilities based on business needs
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma in Accounting or a related field (required)
- Experience in a multi-currency environment (preferred)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics or similar ERP systems (an asset)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a team
- Excellent time management and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
