Trade Marketing Coordinator The Opportunity The role of Trade and Marketing Coordinator requires a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented candidate . This role will be part of the marketing (brand and trade) team reporting into the Director Brand & Trade Marketing. This role requires a strong ability to manage multiple projects, coordinate with various internal and external stakeholders, work cross functionally, and deliver on time and in full on all projects. This role has high impact on the team’s success and is pivotal in supporting our brand's presence across retail and distribution channels, consumer programming and ensuring our marketing/trade efforts are executed with excellence, effective, and resonate with our target audience and follow compliant and legal regulations / Health Canada Requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Trade Marketing & Retailer Support: Support the development and execution of trade marketing programs, ensuring optimal brand visibility and product placement at retail partners (both independent and key accounts). Coordinatesthe compliant production and distribution of all in-store marketing materials and collaborating with sales teams to ensure effective strategy implementation and accurate asset allocation.
- Inventory & Vendor Management & Budgeting: Oversee the end-to-end process for ordering and exploring all brand assets, including swag, print, contesting, and sampling materials, for all applicable brands Sourcing and vetting new vendors, negotiating quotes, managing samples, tracking obsolete inventory and reordering thresholds, and ideating on new items with Brand Managers. Manage vendor payments, submit PO requisitions, and track budget allocations to ensure efficient spending.
- Campaign Support, Logistics and Sales Representation (FSR) Management: Executes the distribution of marketing assets across Canada, ensuring clear communication of timelines, allocations, and programs to the sales team.
- Events and Experiential Marketing (XM) Management and Execution: Owns the logistical coordination for all events and experiential marketing initiatives, working closely with Brand Managers to identify, order, and ship necessary assets and samples.
- Sampling Initiatives: Manages end to end sampling programs. Owns communication, timelines and work back schedules to ensure programs are executed on time and on budget. Works with stakeholders across the organization (Sales, Brand, Trade, Commercialization, Planning and logistics) to plan and execute national sampling kitting process and shipping.

Qualifications:

2+ years of Trade Marketing, Brand Marketing or Corporate Sales experience;

Post secondary education degree/diploma, business is an asset
-
A strong bias for action with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, pivoting quickly to address market dynamics

Excellent communication skills with an ability to productively communicate remotely and in person;

Ability to develop constructive internal and external relationships to become a partner for Self starter with the ability to ruthlessly prioritize efforts and output against corporate objectives

Cannabis industry knowledge will be an asset
