Fort Garry Industries has an exciting opportunity for a Parts Supervisor to join our team at our Thunder Bay location.
What You Will Do:
- Support and assist the Branch Manager with aftermarket parts operations, sales and inventory by ensuring the counter sales team contributes to the highest level of customer service focus
- Actively engage to personally ensure excellent service to both internal and external customers regarding parts inquiries and orders
- Assist the Branch Manager by supporting operational results and goals, including supporting optimal stock levels, tracking inventory, and ensuring parts are readily available when needed
- Oversee warranty claims and assist with managing inventory overall, including annual inventory counts, transfers and oversold
- Ensure all in-store promotions and marketing initiatives are executed to FGI standards, including any required training on new products with staff
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, warehouse staff, and management
- Champion FGI's safety culture by performing all duties within established procedures and practices
- Other duties as assigned
What We Require:
- Minimum two (2) years of supervisory experience required in high-volume customer service industry, ideally in a similar industry (wholesale, automotive, or heavy-duty parts sales)
- Hands-on experience in sales, warranty claim processing, and inventory management is a must
- Heavy-duty parts knowledge or background is an asset
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (email, Word, Excel) and ability to learn in-house systems
- Exceptional problem-solving skills — you don’t just spot issues, you fix them fast.
- A team player with a no-excuses attitude — you do what it takes to get the job done right.
- Strong follow-up and accountability mindset — you don’t let issues slide.
- Excellent Customer Service skills – you exceed the expectations of internal and external customers
- Highly organized with a keen attention to detail — accuracy and documentation are essential to success in this role.
- Able to work various shifts, including Saturdays
- Must meet the physical requirements: Occasionally lift to 75 – 100lbs, frequent standing and walking, reading small print and numbers.
