About the role

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

The main objective of this position is to support the sales and customer service teams in providing credit services to customers, maintaining good customer relations and contributing to the financial health of the Air Liquide Canada organization, while promoting ALC's safety and quality objectives.

  • Ensure collection of accounts: Maintain outstanding accounts receivable at 30 days or less. Reviews overdue accounts and confers with customers by telephone to collect overdue amounts. Negotiates repayment methods and terms with customers. Types and sends form letters to customers to encourage them to pay overdue accounts. Coordinates with a third party to facilitate collection efforts on overdue accounts.
  • Monitor customer files: Records information regarding customers' financial status and status of collection efforts. Makes daily entries in customer accounts for checks and materials received. Reconciles and monitors accounts monthly to determine and improve customer performance. Talks and consults with sales team as necessary.
  • Quality: Ensures that all customer payments are credited accurately and on time. Knows and follows group procedures as outlined in the ALC Quality Manual. Ensures that appropriate corrective and preventive measures are in place to deal with customer problems or complaints.
  • Maintains customer relations: Develops a strategy to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Are you a MATCH?

  • Experience: At least one year's experience in an accounts receivable/collections and/or customer service position.
  • Diploma: Post-secondary diploma, college diploma in administration or related field.
  • Knowledge: Communication skills required in French and English to serve customers in all regions of Canada, basic accounting and computer skills (Google and Oracle suite an asset).
