About the role
This position reports to the TPS Supervisor and will work with all members of the TG Minto team. The TPS Specialist will assist with all TPS Launch and Kaizen activity. Flexible work hours will be necessary. There is a six-month probation period for this position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Developing/Creating and maintaining:
- Kanban (Inventory Control - Injection, paint, FG, conveyance, etc.)
- Creation & maintaining of production patterns
- Visual Controls (labels, dandori instructions, signs, pegboards, packaging instructions, etc.)
- Injection/Paint Packaging Instructions
- WIP Container counts
- Plant layouts utilizing CAD (Computer-Assisted Drafting)
- Support New Launch Activities (Injection & assembly trials, etc.)
- Support in Kaizen Shop as required
- Assist in layout changes
- Assist other TPS members as required
- Ensures 5S conditions are maintained in all assigned areas
Qualifications:
- 3 Year College diploma in Supply Chain Management or relevant experience
- Excellent computer skills, especially with Microsoft Excel & Word
- Excellent working knowledge of TPS principles
- Must have an excellent attendance record
- Must demonstrate a regard for company policy
- Must have strong performance in current role
- Must be able to work in a self-directed manner
- Ability to multitask
If all other factors are equal, seniority will be used.
