About the role

UCN acknowledges that we are on the traditional

DUTIES
Reporting to the Media Specialist, the Multimedia/Computer Services Technician will provide support to faculty, staff and students with the

day-to-day operations of UCNs audio-visual equipment, computers and other related equipment and will do minor repairs and maintenance

of the equipment and hardware. The Multimedia/Computer Services Technician will also be a part of policy development and implementation,

computer-related committees and recommendations for new emerging technology. Also, the incumbent will provide audio-visual support for

conferences and events that may occasionally take place during the evenings or weekends.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Diploma in an accredited computer technology program; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Experience in installing and operating audio-visual equipment
Extensive knowledge of computer hardware, network equipment, and peripherals such as printers, scanners, etc.
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to be self-motivated and work independently as well as part of a team environment
Effective time management skills
Commitment to life-long learning

ASSETS
Experience with programming Extron/QSYS AV products and video
Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous cultures

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Available to work occasional evenings or weekends
Physically capable of performing the required duties: lifting up to 30 lbs., climbing ladders, bending and good flexibility for tight or

low spaces
Candidates must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada
