The opportunity: The Marketing Manager will report to the Principal, Property Management and will be responsible for planning, development and implementation of all aspects of marketing for the Real Estate Services group.

What You Will Do

  • Lead and guide Real Estate Services branding and marketing initiatives
  • Provide overall marketing guidance and support to the Real Estate Services Group, in particular the Offices and Industrial teams
  • Develop, implement and maintain digital marketing strategies and programs (social media, reputation management) which may include blogging, creating content and drafting responses to posts from tenants or the public
  • Oversee the development of branding strategies at existing properties, maintain and adhere to branding standards and identify branding opportunities for properties in the Office and Industrial portfolio
  • Review marketing expense statements on a regular basis and provide an analysis of marketing costs
  • Analyze competition, studying how the market is behaving and identify market trends
  • Work closely with the Residential and Retail Marketing groups to ensure consistency in corporate branding and advertisements
  • Ensure the communication and exchange of marketing ideas and activities between office and industrial properties across the country
  • Lead in preparing RFP submissions
  • Provide marketing support to the Office and Industrial teams (property portfolio, catalogue, leasing package, site signage, new building launch, etc.).
  • Plan and coordinate advertising efforts in trade publications on behalf of BentallGreenOak Real Estate Services (when required)
  • Embrace and proactively support BGOs culture of environmental and social responsibility
  • Assist in planning and implementing presentations, special events and “tools” for conferences.
  • Responsible for administration of company-wide initiatives related to philanthropy, public affairs and employee engagement activity across our managed Office and Industrial portfolio
  • Budget administration
  • Other duties in line with the scope of the role and function of the Real Estate Services unit

Who You Are

  • University degree or diploma in related area (marketing, public relations, advertising or business administration);
  • Minimum 3 years of marketing experience preferably in a commercial real estate environment;
  • Some working knowledge of graphic design software and basic/intermediate level graphic design capability;
  • A strong understanding of digital and social media strategy, and experience with developing or overseeing the production of web-based content
  • Creative, energetic, innovative
  • Relationship Skills – Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills; ability to develop and sustain cooperative working relationships at all levels; ability to exercise confidentiality; committed to building relationships with industry peers and trade associations
  • Organizational/Multi-Task Skills - Ability to allocate one's time effectively, work under pressure and manage tight deadlines; ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities, and adapt to new ideas and constant changes
  • Computer Skills - Strong skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, web development, social media, and graphic/publisher programs
  • Knowledge – Advanced understanding of marketing and customer experience concepts as they relate to the property management industry; ability to interpret, organize and analyze data (including financial data);
  • License – Must have a valid driver’s license at all times during employment.
  • Police Clearance – A criminal verification check is required for employment.
