DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are currently looking for enthusiastic and experienced Instructors to join our team. In this position you will have the opportunity to use your extensive knowledge and expertise to help us develop, implement and maintain innovative practices that will meet the current and future needs of the Base Hospital and Lakeridge Health.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting directly to the Managers - Clinical Paramedic Programs, you will represent Central East Prehospital Care Program (CEPCP) to our allied agencies (Paramedic Services/Paramedics, Fire Services/Firefighters, Industrial responders, Hospital staff and Public Access defibrillation sites/staff) displaying courtesy, respect and sensitivity. Travel is required between our client service sites.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Primary Care Paramedic or Advanced Care Paramedic, or equivalent

  • Proven effective communication and interpersonal skills;

  • Demonstrated ability to initiate, organize and prioritize to function independently with minimal supervision;

  • Demonstrated proficient computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Powerpoint & online Teleconference platforms;

  • Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario, BCLS Instructor Certification strongly recommended;

  • Adult Education certificate an asset;

  • Must have satisfactory performance record;

  • Demonstrated commitment to our core values of Inclusion, Compassion, Innovation, Teamwork and Joy;

  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Lakeridge Health's comprehensive safety programs and practices including staff, patient and environmental safety and participation in regular in-service sessions
