Key Responsibilities
- Program Development & Implementation:
- Develop and implement EHS policies, programs, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of EHS programs and make necessary adjustments to improve performance.
- Lead the development, execution and continual use of safety training programs and initiatives.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Stay updated on changes in legislation and ensure the organization's EHS programs are aligned with current standards.
- Prepare and submit required regulatory reports and documentation.
- Training & Education:
- Oversee EHS training programs for employees at all levels of the organization.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement.
- Emergency Response & Preparedness:
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.
- Coordinate emergency drills and ensure the organization is prepared to respond to EHS incidents.
- Sustainability Initiatives:
- Promote and implement sustainability initiatives, including waste reduction, energy efficiency, and pollution prevention.
- Work with leadership to develop and achieve sustainability goals.
- Reporting & Documentation:
- Provide regular reports to EHS Director on the status of EHS programs and key performance indicators
- Security Initiatives:
- Promote and implement security initiatives.
Qualifications
- Education: Certificate in OH&S
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in EHS, with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful EHS programs.
- Certifications: CRSP,NCSO, CSO.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in EHS management software and reporting tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
