About the role

Employment terms:

  • Start from $21 + wage enhancement
  • Must available to shift work from Monday to Friday from 12:30 pm to 5 / 5:30 pm
  • Possible full time for the right candidate
  • Working in 4-5 years old program
  • We are not supporting LMIA, BCPNP

The qualifications:

  • ***MUST*** have - BC Early Childhood Educator License to Practice
  • Valid First Aid certificate

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, implement, and supervise creative age-appropriate activities which promote growth and development in young children
  • Daily set-up and clean-up
  • Provide strong & direct supervision to children
  • Consider the individual needs and goals of each child and respond accordingly
  • Ensure the health and safety of the children
  • Work as part of the team, which includes children, their parents, and the centre staff members, using the philosophy of the centre
  • Works in conjunction with the Manager and/or Senior Educator to ensure the needs of the children are met
  • Give and take direction while making informed decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Record and make data based decisions
  • Communicate effectively with parents and staff
  • Maintain a safe, and positive learning environment for all children and their families

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 22 per week

StrongSteps Children’s Learning Centre (SSCLC) is an early learning and childcare centre. Our program is designed to give children a consistent learning environment from age 1 to 12 years old.

Our curriculum is continually evolving by qualified and passionate Early Childhood Educators. They are highly involved in planning and improving our educational tools and materials, which provide children with opportunities to discover, explore, experiment, develop their competency, independence and creativity.

We value and respect children of all ethnicity, religion and cultures. Children will learn and grow through structured and unstructured play in a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment.
