This is a hybrid role with a mix of in-office and remote work. Work arrangements will be discussed with hiring managers per departmental guidelines.
Why is this role important?
Reporting to the Senior Director, Digital Operations, you’ll join the Digital Media team where a major initiative is underway to modernize Radio-Canada’s digital ecosystem and make it more resilient in an evolving media environment. This work will be done in close co-operation with various departments and will help build the public broadcaster’s future.
In this role, you'll co-ordinate the various stages and ensure the optimal progress of all departmental activities associated with administration, fixed assets and fit-out, computer equipment, consultant management and related billing. You'll monitor all phases of work and inform the relevant managers of any critical situations to ensure compliance with existing standards and responsible expenditure management. You'll also ensure the efficient use of physical resources assigned to digital projects in consultation with other CBC/Radio-Canada business units.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Co-ordinate the optimal progress of departmental activities associated with administration, fixed assets, computer equipment, consultant management and related billing.
- Follow up with Radio-Canada employees and external vendors.
- Assist managers, directors or senior directors with operations planning, providing co-ordination and cross-functional follow-up while ensuring that physical resources are allocated intelligently and optimally.
- Work closely with other departments such as IT, Finance and Shipping & Receiving.
- Update the Digital Media portal.
- Produce reports and status updates for the leadership team.
- Maintain an administrative operations calendar.
- Establish procedures and organize and plan logistics for fit-out work.
- Set up, list, maintain and update the consultant resource directory.
- Draft contracts.
- Handle confidential and sensitive matters on behalf of the leadership team.
Qualifications/Skills
- Five or more years’ experience in a related field (media or technology environment).
- Community college diploma in a relevant field such as operations and logistics chain management, accounting, administration or office technology.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and SAP.
- Ability to manage priorities.
- Well organized.
- Efficient work methodology.
- Thoroughness.
- Familiarity with the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Trello, etc.).
- Ability to work well in a team but also be a self-starter.
- Interest in emerging technologies.
- Initiative.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong accountability.
- Ability to quickly resolve issues or situations.
- Analytical and synthesis skills.
- Action- and outcome-focused approach.
- Bilingualism (French and English) an asset.
