We are seeking a Specifications Writer who will synthesize, interpret, and compile technical information to create Project Manuals to include procurement, bidding, contract, administrative, and technical requirements for multi-disciplined projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to Project Managers, Designers, Job Captains, and Contract Administrators to respond to and resolve issues or concerns
- Liaise closely with clients to offer technical opinions, recommendations and provide explanations of contract requirement
- Interpret client’s requirements to ensure specifications are accurate
- Coordinate engineering discipline specifications for inclusion into Project Manuals
Required Skills
- Architectural or engineering systems design principles
- Understanding of relevant building codes and jurisdictional requirements
- Registered with a relevant professional association is an asset
- Knowledge of Architectural software skills (i.e. AutoCAD, Revit) is an asset
Required Experience
- 10+ years of project work experience
- Experience in the development of specifications
